This book is about a twelve-year-old girl named Sugar, who doesn't have the best life. Her grandpa dies, and her father is a gambler.When she and her mother, Reba, lose there home in Missouri, well, they travel to Chicago seeking for a new start. This book makes you think twice about homeless people and how they had lives before they became homeless and even a family. It is really touching, although they very beginning is a little confusing. This books makes you worried, and deep in thought about what will happen next. It is a pretty quick read, and 240 pages.
