Slob by Ellen Potter

This week I read a book called Slob by Ellen Potter. It is about a 12-year-old boy who is overweight and according to the book, he is 57% heavier than a regular 12 year old boy. His name is Owen, and even though he is overweight, he is very smart. He always gets bullied, and on top of that, his P.E teacher HATES him and makes him do all this annoying stuff. This is a pretty funny book, but it is not really my favorite book since in my opinion it got a little boring at some points. I would recommend this book for people who would like a quick read and who like funny books. This is a really short book, around 200 pages.

Skinny by Donna Cooner

Skinny by Donna Cooner

This book is about a girl who is fifteen and her mom passes away when she was 10. She lives with her dad, stepmom, and two stepsisters. Ever since her mom died, she has been eating and weighs 302 pounds. She in always made fun of, and always has a voice in her ear that she calls Skinny who tells her what everyone thinks about her. Skinny also whispers bad things, which makes the girl, Ever, lose self confidence. This is a really good book, and I recommend it for really anyone. It teaches you about friendship, and about being yourself. This book is about 272 pages.
